Alan “Al” Gray, 78, of Fort White, FL, passed away on September 26, 2019, of natural causes.

Alan was born in Washington, DC on April, 22, 1941 and was a long time resident of New Smyrna Beach, FL.

Alan was married to Candy on August 18, 1978; they were married 41 years.

Alan worked as an automotive mechanic for himself for more than 30 years. He enjoyed racing and building race cars and go-carts for himself and friends. He was also actively involved in fishing and camping.

Alan is survived by his wife, Candy; his sons, Alan, Sean, and Jason; his daughters, Sherry, Amber and Brandy; his grandchildren, Crystal, Tony, BobbyJo, Elizabeth, Rocky, Lucinda, Jacob, Joseph, Joshua, Jonathan, Jaclyn, Autumn, Janie, Kassidy, Kiley, Alisia, and Trey; nieces, Linda, Cheryl, Terry, and Tracie, and nephew Gary.

Alan is preceded in death by his father Albert, mother Ellen, sister Louise and her daughter Jodi, sister, Sandy, daughter, Dawn, and brothers Albert, and Patrick.

A memorial will be held at a future date and time.

    Our family sends our deepest condolences to Al’s Family and Friends. We have known Al for many years as we were involved in racing also. Al was always there when we needed a hand. During racing season it was common for race cars from all over to be at Al’s garage being worked on. RIP Al.
