Alfred Cuthbert Jenkins aka Swampfox, age 94 of High Springs, Florida passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. A.C. was born in Perry Florida on March 28, 1929 to Charlie and Mable Jenkins, one of ten children. He was a loving husband, daddy and grandaddy.
AC was married to Carlene Anne Jenkins. They were married for 68 years.
AC worked as the Safety Director for the City of Ft. Pierce. He also retired as a Major in the Army National Guard. After retiring he moved the family to the farm in High Springs. After building the family home, he went to work with the State of Florida Law Enforcement Division as an inspector at the Agriculture Inspection Stations in Fanning Springs and Rock Bluff. He and Anne enjoyed traveling the country in their RV during the summer months. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was an active member of Mt Horeb Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. Later, he and Anne moved to Mt. Nebo Baptist Church where they were active members as well. He is remembered as a man who loved the Lord and lived his life by example.
AC is survived by his four sons, Guy (Debbie) of Dunnellon, FL, Robbie (Cathy) of Perry, FL, Kimmy (Tawnya) of High Springs, FL, and Jeff (Dale) of Steinhatchee, FL.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, sister, Charlene Swartley of Melbourne, FL and Eugene Jenkins of Ft. Pierce, FL. AC is survived by a multitude of nieces and nephews.
AC is predeceased by his loving wife, Anne, his parents, brothers, J.M. Jenkins, Doyle Jenkins, Edward Jenkins, and his sisters, Maedell Murphy, Sarah Poppell, Lena Murphy, and Loella Shaw.

The funeral was held at Mt Horeb Baptist Church, High Springs, FL on April 3rd, 2023, at 2:00 pm with burial prior to the service.
