Andrew Griffith

Andrew (Andy) Griffith 19, a lifetime resident of the High Springs area, passed away on Friday, February 12 as the result of an auto accident.  He was a graduate of Bell High School where he was actively involved in the band.  He was a servant of God, spreading God’s word.  He was raised in The Spring Ridge Church of God and was a current member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Gainesville.  He was a member of the UF Marching Band; also an employee of McDonald’s in Lake City.

Andrew was preceded in death by his grandfather Henry Ruff II and an aunt Patricia Griffith Wilder.

Survivors include his parents James and Dena Griffith of High Springs; paternal grandparents Danny and Helen Hill of Lake City; maternal grandparents Mary Ann Ruff and Jeff Levin of Gainesville; maternal grandfather Butch Ervin, of Palatka; two brothers, Timothy Griffith of Orlando and Benjamin Griffith of High Springs and one sister, Sarah Griffith of High Springs.

Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 pm Friday, February 19, 2016.   Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Spring Ridge Church of God with viewing one hour prior.  Burial will be at Spring Ridge Cemetery.

Services are under the care of Evans-Carter Funeral Home, High Springs 386-454-2444.
