Billy Wayne Gibson, 85, of High Springs, Florida, passed away on September 10, 2020.

Billy was born in Centre, Alabama on June 9, 1935. He graduated from High Springs High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida.

Billy was married to Darlene on August 21, 1955; they were married 60 years.

Billy worked as a salesman for Aglime for 50 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Gator Football, traveling and spending time with family.

Billy is survived by his son and daughter in law, Wayne and Teresa Gibson; his daughter and son in law, Lisa and Terry Mauldin; his grandchildren, Ashley Mauldin, Justin Mauldin, Brandon and Brittney Mauldin, Adam Graham; his beloved dog, Scooter, and other family and friends.

Billy is preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Gibson, and his parents Emory and Idene Gibson.

A graveside funeral service will be held at High Springs Cemetery on Monday Sept. 14, 2020 at 2:00p. Dan Howard of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church will be officiating.
