Canara Jones

Canara Jones, 88, native of Alachua, passed peacefully away Friday, June 17th in her sleep at her residence after a long illness.  She was a member of Forest Grove Baptist Church and a graduate of High Springs High School class of 1945.  She was married to Casey Jones.

Survivors include:  Husband of 70 years Casey Jones, Alachua; Daughter:  Andrea Jones, Alachua;

Son:  “Bo” (Shelley) Jones, Waycross, GA; 3 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 AM, Tuesday June 21 at Forest Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Dennis Tabor, Rev. John Parker and Rev. Steve Matchett officiating.  Burial was at Forest Grove Cemetery under the direction of Evans-Carter Funeral Home of High Springs.

    Just saw this, my condolences, I am Patty Barber Freed, Claude and Pearl’s granddaughter, I always thought Aunt Canary was so pretty!! REST IN LOVE AND PEACE!!
