Carlene Anne Jenkins

Carlene Anne Jenkins, 85, of High Springs, FL, formally of Ft. Pierce, FL, passed away on February 4, 2020 at Tri County Health and Rehabilitative Center in Trenton, FL.  Anne was born on May 22, 1934 in Soddy-Daisy, TN.  She was a member of Mt Horeb Baptist Church in High Springs, FL.  She loved her church family at Mt Horeb as well as at Mt Nebo Baptist Church. Anne was a breast cancer survivor and was always willing to share her deep faith with others.

Anne was a loving wife and is survived by her husband of 68 years, A. C. Jenkins  of High Springs, FL. “Mother” is also survived by her four sons, whom she adored, Allan “Guy” Jenkins (Debbie) of Dunnellon, FL, Robbie Jenkins (Cathy) of Perry, FL, Kimmy Jenkins (Tawnya), and Jeff Jenkins (Dale) of Ft. Pierce, FL.

Anne dearly loved her family and is survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, her sisters, Faye Peters (Bill) of Elba, AL and Sharon Stephens (Bruce) of Ft Pierce, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ola and Floyd G Young, and brother W. Floyd Young.

“Priss” was lovingly cared for by her caregivers and “extended family”, Michelle Ordway, Angela Ordway, and Sierah Goodin.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

A Memorial Service is being held on February 7, 2020 at 3 PM at Mt Horeb Baptist Church. A private graveside service is being held at 2 pm prior to the Memorial Service.
