Curtis Daniel Blanton

In Loving Memory of

Curtis Daniel Blanton

 -

Curtis Daniel Blanton was born on February 18, 1971, in Gainesville, Florida, and went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 4, 2021.

Our family lost our superman that day. He was a loving, gentle, and kind hearted husband. He was a father who took his 5 children to church. He was soft and gentle, yet stern when needed. He only wanted the best for them. He was a tender-hearted Pops who loved to share his peaches and sneak the babies’ oreos. He loved to fish and work on projects in his shop. He is the man who you could count on and the man who could fix anything. He was the man we all relied on, no matter the distance. He was a Man who taught his boys how to be men, and his girls to accept nothing less.  He was a giver of his time, always willing to help. Dan will truly be missed; he left his mark on everyone he touched. What we will miss most of all are his hugs! His hugs were one of a kind.

He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Melissa Blanton; five children, Austin (Naomy) Blanton, Bradley (Melinda) Trice, Cody (Madison) Blanton, Aubrey Blanton, and Bailey Douglas; seven grandchildren, Natalia, Brayden, Austin “AJ”, Nova, Daniel, Maddox, and Atticus; his mother, Phyllis Blanton; one sister, Phebe (Jeff) Dudley; and one brother, Slayden “Ira” Blanton.

He was preceded in death by his father, Slayden Ira Blanton II; and his grandmother Merle Blanton.

The funeral service is scheduled at 5:00 p.m., Friday, September 10, 2021 at the Burlington Santa Fe Church of Christ, 4393 US-27, Branford, Florida with the visitation scheduled from 4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Burial to follow the service at the Santa Fe Cemetery.
