Eloise Gracie McCormick, 88, of High Springs, FL, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2020.  Eloise was born in Lake Butler, FL on November 14, 1931 to Reuel King and Gracie Eloise Dukes.

Eloise was married to Lamar McCormick on April 28, 1966; they were married for 47 years.

She graduated from Union County High School where she received a high school diploma.  She attended business school in Jacksonville, FL and worked as a secretary.

Eloise worked as a clerk for Copeland Sausage Company, later Green Giant Corporation. She enjoyed baking, crocheting, Bible studies, and especially spending time with family and friends.

She served many years at the First Baptist Church in High Springs.  She enjoyed working with the youth, WMU, Tellers, Kitchen, and was a member of the Young at Heart Choir.

Eloise is survived by Debbie (Bruce) Alligood, Sandi (David) Spencer, Kristin (Matt) Dukes; Lauren Spencer (Shahroze Rehman); Caroline, Turner and Warren Dukes; and Diane Alligood.

Eloise is preceded in death by her husband Lamar McCormick, Parents, R.K. and Gracie Dukes; and brother, Gerald Dukes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the “100 Club”, First Baptist Church of High Springs.

Due to the covid-19 pandemic, a graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at the High Springs Cemetery.

    Debbie and Sandi,

    Jimmy and I were so sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. She was such a sweet and special lady. She will be greatly missed by so many. We are praying for you and your family. We love you all.
