Mrs. Helen Clark, age 88 of High Springs passed away Sunday afternoon December 20, 2020 at her daughter’s residence. Helen was born October 17, 1932 in Dayton Ohio. She was the daughter of Virgil and Ruth Smith.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, William Franklin Clark and her daughter, Ruth Barber.

Helen was a member of Spring Hill United Methodist Church and member of the United Methodist women. Helen also in her earlier years was a girl scout leader. She was a homemaker and retired from G.E. She loved to crochet her family and friends beautiful gifts. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Helen is survived by one brother Larry Smith of St. Augustine. One daughter Pat (Jimmy), 2 sons Buddy Clark (Jennifer) and Kenny of High Springs.

She was a loving grandmother to Sherri Cole, Belvelina Cain, Michael Dooraghi, Tiffany Barber, Melissa Clark Roland, Janie Clark, Buddy Clark the 3rd, Megan Sapp, Terry Peace.

She had numerous nieces and nephews. Helen had 11 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren

Her pallbearers are as follows: James Peace (J.C.) Eric Peace, Jordan Calvert, Chuck Smith, Charles O’neil and RIchard Touchton

Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday December 23, 2020. Celebration following at 11:00 at Spring Hill United Methodist Church, Alachua, Pastor James Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that gifts be made to the Spring Hill Cemetery fund or St. Judes Children’s research hospital.
