Ileen Pendergast, 91, of High Springs, Florida, passed away on October 30, 2021.  Ileen was born in Friendship, Ohio on May 8, 1930 to Lewis and Laura Dyer.

Ileen married to Arthur P. Pendergast, Sr. on November 3, 1956.  They were married for 35 years.

Ileen retired from the Alachua County Public School Food Service.  She enjoyed gardening and taking care of beautiful flowers, her favorite were snapdragons.  She enjoyed family gatherings and being around all her children and grandchildren.  She loved cooking and trying new recipes. Ileen was baptized at Forest Grove Baptist Church on October 15, 2000.

She is predeceased by her husband, Arthur P. Pendergast, Sr; sisters, Geneva Frecker, Gladys Slaughter, Irene Feidner (her twin), Alice Keaton; and brothers, Herman Dyer and Leroy Dyer.

Ileen is survived by her stepson, Arthur Pendergast, Jr; sons, Paul Pendergast, Joseph Pendergast, and James C. Pendergast; daughter, Marlene Pendergast; grandsons, James R. (Michelle) Pendergast and Joseph S. Pendergast; granddaughters, Crystal Russell and Samantha Russell; and great-granddaughters, Chelsea Pendergast, Macy Pendergast, and Jayden Marie Russell.

The graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at the High Springs Cemetery, 23998 NW 192nd Avenue.  Pastor Damon Baudoin will be officiating.
