Janet Loretta Sebastian Beck, 85, of High Springs, went gently into the loving presence of Jesus on August 7, 2016 at her home. Janet was born March 11, 1931 in Chicago, to Steven and Ethel Sebastian.
In 1956 she married Morris C. Beck, and together they served as missionaries with T.E.A.M. (The Evangelical Alliance Mission) in Taiwan for over 30 years. Her lifelong passion was to help others grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, whom she loved and served with her whole heart.
Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Morris Beck. She is survived by their children, Kathy Beck, Betty Ann (Bryan) Latchaw, and Don Beck; grandchildren Bob (Brittany) Latchaw, Matthew (Lyric) Latchaw, and Jana Latchaw; sister-in-law Shirley Kirby; many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends around the world.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 12, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Evans-Carter Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 13 at 10:30 AM at First Baptist Church, High Springs.
