Jeannette Smith Walker

Jeannette Smith walker, 79, widow of Lomax Walker Jr., died Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Palmetto health Richland, Columbia, SC. Born June 28, 1938, in Alachua county, she was the daughter of the late Joe Mitchell and Lena Smith. She was a member of Forest Grove Baptist Church, graduated from Santa Fe High and retired from UF Shands Eye Clinic.

Survivors include a daughter, Teresa Zuidema (Bill) of Mayesville, SC, a son Mark Adam Walker (Mindy) of Fort White, 5 grandchildren, Justin Zuidema, Ryan Zuidema, Blake Walker, Kailey Walker and Austen Register, 3 sisters, Shirley Wheeles (Bill) of Ocala, Linda Spikes (Billy) of Mayo, Dianne Faircloth (Bert) of Trenton, a brother Joe Smith (Fran) of High Springs and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 2 children, Darryl Clinton Walker and Kimberly Ann Walker and a sister Barbara Ann McDaniel.

Visitation will be Wednesday August 9th at 9am at Forest Grove Baptist Church, funeral service at 10am followed by graveside service at Forest Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in memory of Jeannette Walker to Forest Grove Baptist Church 22575 NW 94th Ave Alachua, Fl 32615.
