Kathi Joyce (Rimes) Fields of High Springs, Florida went home to be with her heavenly Father on July 2, 2018 at Shands UF Hospital.
Kathi was born April 15, 1959 to Gordon and Kathryn (Rourk) Rimes in Gainesville, Florida. She was a graduate of Rolling Green Academy and the University of Florida. She married Danny Ray Fields in June of 1998. Kathi was self employed, with her husband Danny, and was a retired educator.
Kathi is survived by her husband Danny, stepson Nick of Orlando, sister Rozmary Rimes (Bryan) Olmert of High Springs, niece Robin Olmert (Don) Heeke of High Springs, nephew Gannon (Amanda) Olmert of Lake Alfred, great nieces Mary Bryan, Isabel, and Sarah Heeke, and great nephews Landon, Brayden, and Garren Olmert. Her Uncle Paul and Aunt Lucille Whitlock reside in Arcadia, Florida. Kathi is preceeded in death by her parents Gordon and Kathryn Rimes, and many beloved uncles and aunts.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018, graveside at High Springs Cemetery. Reverend Glen A. Busby of the First Presbyterian Church of High Springs will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Presbyterian Church of High Springs. Arrangements are in the care of EVANS CARTER FUNERAL HOME, High Springs, 386-454-2444.
