Obituary of Leonardo Gomez-Seijo “Lolo”, age 93, of Caracas, Venezuela, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 5:00 pm.  Lolo was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela on June 26, 1928 to Jesus Maria Gomez Castro and Delia Josefina Seijo Perez.

Lolo was married to Angela Gomez for 66 years.

Lolo was retired for many years.  He always worked for car dealers in Venezuela.  He enjoyed music, sports, travel, playing dominoes, fishing, dancing, sharing every free moment with his family and telling jokes.  He always collaborated with Saint Jude Children Hospital.

He is survived by his spouse, Angela Gomez of Gainesville, FL; daughters, Janet (Robert) Todd of Gainesville, FL, Xiomara Gomez (Pedro Luis Romera) of Gainesville, FL, and Delia (Luis Miguel) Montoto of Gijon, Spain; granddaughters Mayela Romera of Miami, FL, Andrea Montoto of Gijon, Spain, Estefania Romera of Denver, Colorado, and Victoria Todd, of Granada, Spain; grandsons, Miguel Montoto of Gijon, Spain, Pedro L. Romera of Gainesville, FL, and Daniel E. Montoto of Gijon, Spain; sister, Eulalia Perez of Caracas, Venezuela; and great-grandson, Federico Ayala of Denver, Colorado.

Lolo is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus Maria Gomez Castro and Delia Josefina Seijo Perez.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in his name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital either online at https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html or by mail. The mail-in form can be downloaded from here.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021 at 2:00 pm at St. Madeleine Catholic Church in High Springs, FL.  Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm.
