Lois Miriam Dobson, 87, of Alachua, Florida, passed away on December 18, 2022.  She was born in Cottonwood, Alabama on December 1, 1935 to Coy and Martha Lashley Forehand.

Lois worked as a care giver for the elderly and for General Electric.  She enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking, music, dancing, and taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Lorraine Owens of Alachua, Florida, Brenda Gail Dobson, and Anna Yvonne Dobson; grandchildren, Sherry Nichole Farmer, William Scott Beaman, Steven Dobson, Noah, and Anna Beaman; great-grandchildren, Colton Scott Farmer, London Marie Farmer, Destiny Ann-Louise, Nadiyah Elizabeth Miriam, Lyndsi Louise Shannon; great-great-grandchildren, Aaryiah Lyn-den Louise Johnson, Khatesi Ameera-Rose Chamberlain; and her beloved partner, Raymond Bembry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Coy and Martha Forehand.

The graveside funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, December 23, 2022 at Newnansville Cemetery in Alachua, Florida.
