Marion D. Kohn, 70, longtime resident of Columbia County, departed this life on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Lake City Haven Hospice.  She was a member of Spring Hill United Methodist Church.  She retired from Homes of Merit/Champion.

Marion was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina on May 9, 1948 to Ralph and Dorothy Masingale

Marion is survived by her husband, Robert; son Kurtis Kohn, Lake City, FL; brother, John Wear, Rockford, IL; sister Ida Tracy, Rockford, IL; grandchildren Haley Westberry, Hannah Westberry, Jayden Kohn, and Adyson Kohn; great-granddaughter Layla Westberry

Marion is preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Kohn and her sister Kathy Beers.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Evans Carter Funeral Home Chapel.   Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the funeral. Burial will follow the funeral at Fort White Cemetery.

    Marion was such a precious friend. Even though not born in the south, she was the epitome of a true southern lady. We have so wonderful memories of her at the many ladies retreats in Leesburg and St. Simon’s Island that she attended with us. She will always be in our hearts.
