Michael W. Lucas, 69, of Fort White, FL, passed away on Dec. 19, 2015 at the VA Medical Center in Gainesville, FL.  He was born in Atlanta, GA and moved to Miramar, FL.  He received his BA from the University of Florida.  He is survived by his wife of over 38 years, Dawn; daughter, Miranda (Bill) Chesser; sons, Todd (Eleni) Lucas and Sean Lucas; sister, Heather (Joe) Mangum.

He was the owner of Boot-a-Pest for over 38 years.  He enjoyed golf, fishing, the outdoors, and family and was an avid Gator fan.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hospice of the Nature Coast.

Memorial is planned for Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 2:00pm at Evans Carter Funeral Home, High Springs, FL.

    MICKEY WAS ONE OF A KIND. HE WILL BE DEARLY MISSED, THERE WANT BE A GOOD GATOR GAME ON FOR MICKEY MADE THE GAME ENJOYABLE.

    Thoughts and prayers for the Lucas family. Mickey was always a pleasure to care for on CLC 3 and has been missed since transferring to Gainesville. He will truly always be missed, I hope knowing he is at rest now brings you comfort.
