William Patrick Westmoreland “Pat”, 85, of High Springs, FL passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022.

Pat was born on May 8, 1937 to Roy Garvin Westmoreland and Susie Hall Westmoreland in High Springs. After graduating from High Springs High School, where he was a Sandspur and active in many athletic activities, he served in the U. S. Army and went on to graduate from Florida State University in marketing. Pat was Baptist and believed strongly in helping those in need and quietly did it.

He loved the outdoors and was involved in timber and real estate in Florida, Central America, and Texas. Through life, Pat had a variety of dogs and horses. He loved camping and taking trips to Suwannee, FL with his son and a group of boys.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Susie Westmoreland; his brother, Joseph L. Westmoreland; and nephew, Roy Stewart Westmoreland.

He is survived by his wife Lou Cribbs Westmoreland of fifty-eight years; son, William Gannon Westmoreland (Susan); and grandson, Danny Westmoreland; niece, Mary Jo Hancock (Rex); and many great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church, High Springs at 1:00, Friday, June 24, 2022 with visitation at 12:30.  Burial will follow the funeral at the High Springs Cemetery.
