Patrick “Pat” Waughon, 39, of Alachua, FL, passed away on October 3, 2018.

Patrick was born in Elgin, Illinois on April 11, 1979.  He graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Computer Science degree.

Patrick was married to Jennifer Waughon on September 1, 2002 and were married for 16 years.

Patrick worked as an Associate for Trader Joe’s for 1 year.  He enjoyed baseball, soccer, basketball, football, coaching youth sport teams, cooking, and being a Girl Scout “Cookie Dad”.  He was also actively involved in Santa Fe Babe Ruth Baseball.

Patrick is survived by his wife, Jennifer; his children Heidi, Elizabeth, Preston, Chase, Amanda, Sebastian, and Finn; his parents Lawrence and Kim Waughon; his brothers Scott Waughon and J. R. Waughon; his in-laws Jim and Mary Dorka; and numerous other relatives.

The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, 9700 W Newberry Rd, Gainesville.  Visitation will be held at 12:45 pm.  Burial will follow the reception at the High Springs Cemetery.

    My heart breaks for you Jenny. Thoughts and prayers are with you and the kids. Patrick was a wonderful husband and father and will be missed temendously. He will always be with you in spirit. I have no doubt about that. Heaven has gained a true angel.
