Billy Eugene Snowden, 83

Billy E. Snowden, long time resident of High Springs, FL, went gently into the loving presence of Jesus on June 13, 2018 at E. T. York Care Center in Gainesville following a courageous battle with cancer.  Billy was born August 27, 1934 in Emlyn, KY to Dewey and Jeanette Easton Snowden.  He was a Christian and an active member of First Baptist Church, High Springs, FL for 46 years.  He loved the Lord, his family and his friends. He was a sweet man.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carol Roberts Snowden, a son Kenneth (Anne) Snowden of Champlin, MN, two daughters, Denise Snowden, Bradenton, FL and Stasia Snowden, Gainesville, FL; 2 sisters, Betty Hilson, Brooksville, FL and Sue (Dominick) Biondo, Dunnellon, FL, 3 brothers, Dewey (Ann) Snowden, Archie (Mary) Snowden, and Wayne (Shirley) all of Dunnellon, FL and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Jim and Don Snowden.

On June 18, 2018, at First Baptist Church, High Springs, FL will be the visitation from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to First Baptist Church Building Fund, First Baptist Church, 20112 US-441, High Springs, FL 32643 or E. T. York Haven Hospice of Gainesville, 4200 NW 90 Blvd, Gainesville, FL 32606
