Thomas A. Wasdin

Thomas A. Wasdin, 90, of High Springs, Florida, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020.  He was born in Graham, Florida on August 12, 1929.

Tom was a Korean War veteran and served in the U. S. Army from 1951-1953.  He worked as a telephone repairman with Southern Bell Telephone Company.  He was a Pastor for New Hope Primitive Baptist Church of Duval County for many years. He enjoyed fishing and flying kites.

Tom was predeceased by his wife, Clara Bishop; parents, LeRoy and Warna Wasdin; and his brother, Phillip Wasdin.

He is survived by his daughters, Debra Thomas (Bill), Donna Bishop (Douglas), and Alvalyn Lancaster; sister, Wanda Hunter; brother, James Wasdin; grandchildren, Doug E. Bishop, Dulcey Hunter, Angela Bowdoin, Joshua Lancaster, Sadie DePeter; and 8 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Plantation Oaks Assisted Living, 23301 US-27, High Springs, Florida.

A graveside funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at High Springs Cemetery.
