I only knew Tom for a short time, but, that was enough for me to recognize his gift of friendship. Last Thanksgiving our young Chinese friends were visiting in our home. My husband and I met them14 years ago in Alaska. They have traveled in China, Australia, New Zealand, England, France and many places in the United States. I wanted their visit here to be special… Tom made their trip extra special with a boat ride / fishing trip on the Suwannee River. Tom showed their 7 year old son how to bait a hook, etc. and even let the little guy “drive” the boat! When our friends had to return home they said their vacation here was the most relaxing trip they have ever had. I think that was because Tom gave them a special day on the River….Florida at it’s best! I think that Tom probably made everyone feel special! He will be missed by many.
Know that others share your loss and Tom will see you again in Heaven.
