Virginia Lynn “Ginny” Busby, 73, of Marianna, FL, passed away on March 11, 2020. Ginny was born in Lake City, FL on December 18, 1946 to Wayne and Margaret Thomas.
Ginny was married to Joe Earl Busby on November 25, 1976; they were married for 43 years. She graduated from Florida State University where she received a Master’s degree in Special Education.
Ginny worked as a Special Education teacher for Riverside Elementary School. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was also actively involved in the First Presbyterian Church of Marianna.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Earl Busby; children, Charlie (Lisa) Busby, Beth Beasley, Wayne (Catherine) Busby, Andy (Terri) Busby, Amy (Randy) Rehberg; sister, Sara Beth Gassett; and her 12 grandchildren.
Ginny is preceded in death by her parents Wayne and Margaret Thomas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to First Presbyterian Church in Marianna, 2898 Jefferson St, Marianna, FL 32446.
The memorial service will be held on Monday, March 16th at First Presbyterian Church in Marianna, FL.
