William (Bill) Horace Daugherty Sr, age 82 of Trenton, Fl, passed away on December 29, 2019 at Haven Hospice in Gainesville, Fl after a lengthy illness.

William was born in Alachua, Fl on February 13, 1937 to Sally and Horace Daugherty. William grew up in Hauge, FL with his parents until leaving after high school to join the Air Force. He was stationed in Okinawa, Japan & Myrtle Beach, SC until he was honorably discharged in 1962.

After leaving the Air Force William worked around the Alachua area. For 28yrs William worked as foreman for John C Hipp Construction in Alachua until 2001. After leaving John C. Hipp Construction, he went to work for City Boys of High Springs until finally retiring in 2010.

William was married to Caroline Jean Daugherty on July 13, 1979 for 34 years until Caroline’s passing on August 8,0 2013 from serious medical problems.

William is survived by his daughter, Amanda (Thomas) Boissonnault, along with 5 other children, 15 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.

William is preceded in death by his wife, Caroline Daugherty; his parents, Horace & Sally Daugherty; grandson, Travis Daugherty; and many other family members.
